Which Modeling Package Maya or Max

Hi

I was just wondering which modeling package is most used by any Torque developers. I have Maya and Max I am getting really good which simple stuff in Maya but can't find hardly any tutorials on getting my objects into torque, just outdated stuff on the TDN. I see model packs being developed with Max so I got my hands on a copy. I need to get familiar with this package. I have bought Game Character Development with Maya and Modeling a Character in 3DS Max. Granted I am not an artist, but a programmer, but I would like to make simple things and get them into my game. Any help would be appreciated.

I like Max , I find it more intuitive than Maya, of course a Maya person would say the exact opposite but Max is my vote

Wow you must be super rich to be able to afford both Max and Maya!

As for which application to use, you could use Max or Maya or some of the other ones that have a DTS exporter such as Lightwave, Blender or Milkshape. Honestly it doesn't matter which application you use, just the cool art that comes out at the end. So use whatever application supports DTS exporting and you are most comfortable with and productive using to make art.

In regards to Maya docs, have you seen these?

Both 3D Studio Max 7 and Maya has free trials, so your argument about being super rich doesn't seem very valid, Logan.

Edit: I do understand your point though. It's not very likely he's talking about the demos.

I like Maya, I find it more intuitive than Max. Just to prove Anthony's point :)

To me it's a lot like choosing what to use when illustrating. A regular pencil, or a mechanical one? I get the job done with both, but I'm more used to, and comfortable with, a mech one.

Foster, do you also point out to people with both a car and a house that they must be super rich?
