Need some Verification

Not to start on a bad note or any thing but about 3 weeks ago my uncle was killed in a car crash and i have inhereted anything he had todo with his computer and ive aquierd the Book of 3D Game Programming All-in-One
and i was wondering even tho i did not buy the package is it still legal for me to use the torque engine and all software within the book.

It is just a book with an older version of torque on the cd so you can learn and the programs on the cd are either freeware or trial versions so you can use them. If he had a licensed version of torque and you inharited it and you contacted GG I' am pretty sure they would work somthing out with you to transfer the license into your name. This is just my thoughts I don't know for sure you would have to check it out.

The Eula States the licence is non transferable, but it is only 100 bucks, support your indies buy the engine!

I forgot about that it is not transferrable and it is only $100. If she has her uncles book with the cd she can use that version of torque and the programs on the cd to learn and then decide if she wants to purchase a license right?

She could easily mod with the book or with the demo and learn the fundamentals

Trust me if you seen the size of the source, thats the best way to start, completely isolated from the houndreds of thousands of ways to screw over a game engine. Trust me I speak from experience.
