Banners for each clan.

I am assuming that some form of team colours is in order to identify the teams/races/clans.
So, as far as artwork goes. Maybe thats something to think about.
I'd love to see some banners held by players in battle, like the colours in old hand to hand confrontations. T2 had something like.
Spacehulk had similar things in thier chapters.

Could either modify the ShapeNameHud GUI element and have it pass the team number, or work the team code into the engine so that other functions (dirived from ShapeBase) know about the teams.

Seeing RW is going to be TeamPlay cirrect? why not modify the NameHud to display a banner/image etc above the player name similar to the way T2 does it?Could either modify the ShapeNameHud GUI element and have it pass the team number, or work the team code into the engine so that other functions (dirived from ShapeBase) know about the teams.

Also, depends on the target number of players. If thats high, then its hard to show each player and thier team.
Maybe we could show the banner for each player next to thier name?
i was thinking more of the old japanese flag wearing thing tho. I guess it is a bit tribes like tho.

Its kind of difficult to know how "teams" are going to be arranged :))Also, depends on the target number of players. If thats high, then its hard to show each player and thier team.

No matter how many people were on a team in T2 you always seen the players name and team logo. The code is their, just needs a bit of tweaking (if I am correct).

The code that T2 used is no longer in the game. That code depended on the sensorGroups which were taken out (one of those things that compleatly broke AI in Torque also)

Yes, Why can't we see "banner-wearer" in the middle of several squad!
And it was question of "sphere of influence" on an other topic, perhaps this can be good with the one wearing the banner who give extra-strengh/vitality to ppl close to him...
