Our casual action/puzzler built on T2D is finally released for public consumption!

Check out screenshots and download the trial version here: www.buriedaliveinteractive.com

Also see our IOTD from early January.

We'd very much like to thank GG and Melv for such a fantastic platform, and the community here for all the cool and helpful stuff we've gleaned from their Torque wisdom. Special thanks to those who contributed feedback and commented on the pre-release we had a month ago, the additions and changes we did based on them made Atomize all the better.

After the initial marketing and support of Atomize dies down a bit, we've got three other titles in the pipeline to work on and release hopefully this year, wish us luck!

Working on the Mac port this very minute, in fact. There were a lot of engine modifications and some aren't working properly on the Mac yet, so it may take a bit to sort it all out, but we fully intend to release a Mac version relatively soon.

Hopefully a Linux version will come after that, however we may be pressed for time by upcoming projects and the Linux version will get deferred. My hope is the work on the Mac port will make the Linux port that much easier anyway though.

A lot has happened in the last few weeks, I thought I'd post an update.

First, the Mac port is still in progress. Got an engine build that is functioning but still needs a bit more debugging, and I've not even considered packaging/distribution options yet.

We officially released version 1.0.4 tonight! This version has many graphic enhancements, further honed tutorials to get people into the full-blown gameplay faster, and several gameplay tweaks. It also dropped from 23MB down to 14MB thanks to a flurry of graphic and packaging compression optimizations.

This was very important as we're in talks with portals and distributors and want to present as compelling a package as possible. We're very excited at the prospect of getting into some of the larger distribution channels soon!

Finally, thanks to a product known as igLoader, we launched a (windows-only) web-edition on our site. Definitely a nice exposure boost despite requiring a small proprietary plugin (though it isn't just ActiveX, it works for Firefox and Opera too). The best part is the entire thing only took three days from start to finish, and most of that was spent stripping the game down to a 5MB mini-version.

Right now we're juggling continued Atomize release/distribution with a bunch of new projects that we'll hopefully have more to say about very soon. And of course GDC is just days away too. So much for sleep. :)

Thanks Steve, I've heard of that from a bunch of people now. It appears that the demo wrapper (Armadillo/Software Passport from Silicon Realms) causes this problem on certain platforms. Regretably Silicon Realms wasn't very interested in fixing the problem.

I'll most likely remove the closing splash screen anyway since the game has its own and the end-wrapper is redundant.

Thanks again for letting me know. :)
