D20 Torque... [or D&D for TSE

So i was sitting on my couch today playing with HTC+ and it reminded me of the old D&D maps i used to make, D&D made me remember Neverwinter Nights and the huge library of models available for it.
This got me thinking... I don't know about the rest of you but i'm a huge dork, and i do love to play some d&d, and not a video game, i mean the real thing with a human making up the content. That bieng said my main D&D group is scattered across the country, while we could get on voice chat and play it just wouldn't be the same...
BUT what if (and this is a big IF) with all the new tools coming out, what if it is possible to setup a base TSE that combinded with HTC+ several base wall/house/tower/dungeon models, and one of the new editors that GG is coming out with.. (along with some custom code) a version of TSE could be built designed for d20 game players to use.
[**Warning**, the below is just a base idea of what i think would have to exist/be used to make TSE usable to the D&D (or D20) community ]
HTC+ could be used for level design.
You could steal models from the NWN vault (as long as a reasonablely easy to use converter could be made, such a converter might be something as simple as a VB app that passes arg's to all the different tools that already exist based on the file type...)
and a base TSE could be used as long as it supported 3 modes:
DM setup mode:
-in this mode the dm would load a map created in HTC, place objects on the map (for towns and dungeons), and manipulate data allready stored / add new data; charactor sheets for players, npc monsters, anything else you DM's out there would like to have stored for later access.. [possibly even include random treasure/npc generator]
Player mode:
-in this mode the player can create/enter a charactor [which the dm would have to approve], and then when a game session was in play he could wander around as a char in Torque [should also be able to roll dice]
DM mode:
- the dm wouldn't get a torque player, it would be nice if he could be a camera fixed (when not moved by hand) above the players, he would need a control interface allowing him to on the fly load NPC's, ect... and basic things like roll dice ect.. [he would also need to be able to move the players from location to location so they dont have to play out all that walking]
i'm not sure about the whole thing, but it was an idea.. i figured i would post it up and see what people thought, of course you wouldn't map out your whole world. alot of people would be bored to tears if you made them actually play all the times there char was walking. i sadly dont have time to work on this right now eithor, but i wanted to get peoples oponions on it, maybe someone else will like it enough to pickup the ball and make it?
so yeah what do people think?
