If anyone remembers ever playing road rash, this was probably the best racing game of its time.

A remake of Roadrash with the technology of today would be crazy awesome.

-Graphics
-Physics
-Animations (ragdoll)
-Multiplayer

It is a possibility that EA could have a project pending for Roadrash but i havent heard anything.

Another game idea would be a mixing between road rash, burnout 3, NFSUMW.

What still hasnt been done for car racing games is the reality of what happens when you crash your car into anything going over 100mph.

What REALLY happens when you launch your car off of a ramp or somehow getting lots of air and smashing into the ground.

I want a game where when you crash your car your driver goes thru the windshield or gets thrown out of the vehicle when in a roll.

I hate boundries and wish for travel racing from city to city or state to state or... a cananball run..lol

I think that the reality of what happens in a car crash at 100+ mph wouldn't make a fun game. You crash, you die, that's it. New round. It would definitely get old after a while.

Burnout3 for the XBox rewards you in the race for living dangerously. There's also a mode where you try to get your car (or truck) going as fast as possible, then cause the maximum amount of damage via a domino-effect to other traffic. The physics and gas trucks blowing up in that are fun, too. ;-)

You crash, you die, then you respawn with your car back on the road. i think it would take a while to get bored of if it has good multiplayer.

Carmageddon was kind of fun for a while, but that was probably more to do with the exceptional physics for the time. Biggest problem I've had with my recent goes at racing games with realistic physics is the ammount of CPU required for realistic physics, AI, and then sending it over long distances through the internet.

A crash doesnt have to show as the exact same way to everyone and it doesnt take up that much bandwidth for a barrel rolling vehicle with shit flying off of it. the net code can be worked on to show no lag or splits. there are games that host up to 64 players running around and it looks perfect.

it should be possible to have the server client not have to run the physics engine and enforce them so ppl cant use any speed hacks.

I still play the original Road Rash all the time. I like backhanding Biff and Natasha (I hate Biff and I like to see Natasha get upset with me after the race and sometimes tries to get revenge) off their bikes and ramping off of guys that fell in front of me.

The PC version of Road Rash was dire.
Road Rash 3 on the Mega Drive was possibly the best version IMHO.

For anyone interested in 'throwing the driver out the windshield', try a little game called Flatout(Xbox).
The game is pretty average, but countless hours are spent in mini-games where you actually have to achieve a certain height with your driver's body, being propelled thru the windshield.

Great fun, especially when non-sober.
