Tile Map Editor on OS X

First off, hello everyone. I have recently purchased the T2D Early Adopter Release. I have gone through the Basic Tutorial and a couple of the Particle tutorials. Next, I tried the Tile Map Editor tutorial, but no matter what I do, the tiles will not show up in the tile window in the map editor. It always stays blank. I have followed the tutorial to the T and still no luck (on coding tutorials I will often use different variable names or a different coding style out of personal preference).
I also noticed a similar bug with the Particle Editor, that when you add a new Emitter and select the image Map to use, it does not show up either, but first you have to go back to the overall Effect pane and then you can go and re-edit the Emitter and it will show up (click "<- Effect" and then click edit again on the Emitter). But alas, I've found no such workaround for the Tile Map Editor.
I'm on OS X 10.4.4 and my T2D version is 1.1 Alpha 4. The latest version of T2D seems to be 1.1 Beta 1; however, it does not seem to be available for OS X.
Does anyone else have this problem, or has anyone found a solution?
Without the ability to create maps, it is going to be next to impossible to create my own games.
I appreciate any help anyone can give.

I just wanted to drop in and let you know that Paul Scott over here is gettin' the final preparations done for the MacOSX Beta which should be available in the next few days! I'd love to help out as to what it is, but I'm a windows guy myself, I'll be sure to let him know to check this out in his final preparations :)
Cheers,
-Justin
