Crashing on texture load

Everytime i try to load a new texture in the tutorial my machine crashes. i installed torque on my TS server and that one crashed in the same spot. same bug on two different machines, so i can't be the only one.

anyone else encountering the same thing?

Now it seems i can't load anything(new mission, terrain,etc.)

keep getting this error.

Unhandled exception at 0x0042f47e in torqueDemo.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.

Are your textures power of 2 ie. 256X256 ,512X512 etc. ?

Machine crashes the instant that i select "load", i don' teven get far enough to select a texture period. my TS server just crashed to desktop, my main 'puter crashes with the error message.

I have an older version of torque, that came with game prog all in one, that one works perfect. it's this 1.4 version that is cuasing the trouble. is there away i can get a 1.3 archive or lower even?
