Best practices for teaching Torque

Many of our schools are in their third to fifth term teaching Torque. As an educator, what are some of the skills or techniques you have developed to increase student comprehension?

As an art teacher I try to show something like making a modle or a texture then show the students how/where the art fints into the game's assets (file system), finally it is important to explain how to load them via the mission/terrian/gui editors. Break it into smaller steps.

I'm teaching Torque for the first time this fall. I'm interested on hearing examples from the programing side of things.

(yes, this is a deliberate thread bump.)

I taught it in one of my Masters level computer programming courses. I went through some high-level slides on game design and using torque which are still available at www.crossler.com or on Slideshare (tag: Torque or Game Design).

I'm possibly teaching it again this upcoming semester to undergrads, and would love any good slides people have to share.
