Using the shift key to run

by Jamie Spencer · in General Discussion · 11/28/2005 (9:10 pm) · 5 replies

Hi everyone,

I've searched the forums for this and did in fact find a few posts regarding how to use the shift key to run, but for some reason each of them tell me I don't have access to read the posts??

Anyway, can anyone provide information on how to use the shift key to run (while it's held down) and caps lock to toggle run, such as what files to edit, and perhaps a code example? I suspect they're more or less identical functions... at least in concept.

Thanks,
Jamie

You have to be a SDK owner to access those posts, there is a bit of source code modifications to do, as well as scripting.

Hi Jamie,

The reason you were not allowed access to the forums is because you do not own a license to Torque. You might want to consider purchasing Torque. You will have access to all the Torque forums including the private ones. Definently worth $100.00 and more.

Hey Jamie,

I have a quick question for you, In this resource www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=8848 you posted that you compiled Torque using Visual C++ yet you're profile shows that you do not own a license to Torque. How is that? Your not using a pirated copy of Torque, are you?

Hi Sean,

A friend from work had version 1.3 and ended up losing interest in it, so he gave it to me. I've been trying to learn it over the past few weeks in my spare time. Looks like a good engine but some getting used to :) When I created my profile I didn't include a lot of information actually, just the basics.

Torque licenses are non transferable, so to continue work with Torque, you would have to purchase your own copy.
