Just out of curiosity though; Which was the modelling tool you bought that was "wrong"?

The choice between max and maya is more of personal preference. If you don't already have one your prefer and don't feel like getting both just get the 3d studio max 30-day demo and Maya Personal Learning Edition. Use both of them for a while and decide which one you like better.Just out of curiosity though; Which was the modelling tool you bought that was "wrong"?

Most likely he's talking about trueSpace or gameSpace since expansion packs are Caligari speak...

Actually Lee I doubt its XSI since there are no expansion packs for it, and only a handful of people have the beta of the XSI exporter and he is not one of them. :o)Most likely he's talking about trueSpace or gameSpace since expansion packs are Caligari speak...

Download the demos and see which one fits you best. Both are excellent applications.

Wow. Moving from GameSpace to Maya/3DS Max will be quite a jump, especially in the pocketbook.Download the demos and see which one fits you best. Both are excellent applications.

When i look around on different engines there are allways support for Max..
When i look what have spent in time trying to get tS and gS to work and all extra plugins
i have bought ... I really feel ... hmmm.. sad.
I did like working with tS/gS .... its a good lowcost renderer but ... making gamecontent idont think so..
It cant even export .x files correct.

But i really dont see any alternative then buy the program since
the modeller app is one of the most importent part in my workflow.
