I'm from Winnipeg, MB...but I got married and moved to the Detroit metro area, Michigan this year. Dammit they don't serve any poutine around here.

Anyone up for a get together in the next few weeks? Some evening or weekend we could meet for some LAN game action at AITO where I teach, and hit the pub downstairs for adult beverages ... The school is downtown TO, on Bay just a couple of blocks north of the Eaton Centre.

There are a number of us in Edmonton and Calgary (as evident by the rather large dots on the google map) too.

Why do you tease me so? All they have in America (or at least Michigan) is "chili cheese fries", which is sub-par compared to Canada's poutine. The first thing I'll do next time I set foot back in my homeland is grab some "heart attack in a bowl". (tear rolls down cheek)

A get together, eh...uh, my bum still hurts from last time I met up with strangers from the internet (get your mind out of the gutter - I had too much spicy buffalo wings). And one of the dudes borrowed my Trailer Park Boys DVDs and never game 'em back!Quote:Try the bacon poutine with gravy, you can feel you heart slowing down.
