I thought I had it too but didn't want to say that unless I knew for sure it was still in service, but what country does he live in Canada, those are some long distance charges for a lot of people, but may be worth it so Dave can get some answers. He seems understandable anxious to get an answer from Vincent. Dave did you get word of this post??Dave??:) :) :)

Hi Bobby,

Yes I'm anxious to fnd out what's going on but not enough to phone France. If he can't be bothered to respond to his customers online I can only assume I'll either get no answer or just some rudeness if I phone him. I've got enough things to get on with without getting into a row on the phone. I usually end up alienating people and doing more harm than good. Unfortunately I'm not very tactful with people I consider rude or ignorant.

Still, if the pressure becomes overwhelming I'll call him. At the moment L3DT is doing a fine job for me and I'm trying to learn constructor (thanks GG!)

Speaking of GG, do they impose some sort of minimum code of conduct on people who use their site to do business and advertise their wares? It would seem to be something worth thinking about.

Cheers,

Dave.

If GG sells the stuff then yes.
If he just advertises it here: most likely not as the product would be official GG if it would meet the requirements (like AFX)

I bought this quite a while ago...no longer even have the early registered version from then. I take it Vincent is missing in action? Kind of sucks. It's a pretty neat tool.... Is anyone in Europe or with VOIP based phone service in the States willing to bite the bullet and call him? I've no long distance service whatever myself.

Thanks Adam. I've tried emailing him before with no response as well. It's a shame as HTC has a lot of potential.

Hey guys, if someone mails me his number we may get a bit further. I have some new French friends so I can ask them to give him a call for me. At least they will be able to speak French. I don't know if they will do it but it's worth a try.

Adam, strange that he doesn't speak English as he can type in English and for some reason he added me as an IM contact and was able to converse in English.

I have his IM email address if anyone wants it, it is different to his public one.

Well that worked. Apparently Vincent got tired of too many questions so stopped answering...

Anyway, he is planning to work on it during the summer and announce the update in September, or so my French buddy tells me. Let's hope it comes through OK. It's a nice bit of software, it would be a shame to see it disappear.

@Dave, thanks for getting us an update. It's good to at least know he's not just abandoning it altogether.

It doesn't mean you can speak english even if you have a decent writing.
My accent is terrible, I'm just getting back in pronunciation training. :p

I think it's the same for Vince.

Hi Vincent, you said you were going to give us an update in September. Any chance you can let us know what is happening?
