Me i got a old 3d studio max (version 2.5). and i can not find any exporter for this for torque. and i would like to know if gamespace is a good choice to buy for 3d modeler. and this is easy or hard to learn and is very good to spend 299 for this.

(Technically, Milkshape has this ability as well - but it's about like using your teeth to pound in nails.)

Blender is really cool - a different kind of interface, but still a fairly sophisticated package. It's more complicated to use than Milkshape, but it also has good capabilities for texturing and animation built-in.(Technically, Milkshape has this ability as well - but it's about like using your teeth to pound in nails.)

Check out Blender before spending any money - Blender has a "different" interface and lots of ppl (myself included) prefer it once you learn it.I have made a series of video tutorials available for download here www.users.on.net/~symes/gamedev/videotuts/videotuts.html

Blender is a really good tool. Free, Lot of and powerfull functions. I'ts not very easy to use in beginning, but after following video tutorials, you'll find (for sure) that's it's easy...
I use blender since december, and now I feel really relax with this tool... And I think putting a tutorial available to the community this week.

I have to toss in my vote for Blender as well. It has really matured in the last few years, and once you know Blenders interface, you'll love it, it's very quick.

Another nice thing about blender is you can customize the interface. i've got a 4 view set up with all the properties in a column on the right. very similar to 3dsmax.
