Well, not many - but I figure this one ought to be filed as ammunition in the war against our rights to create and play videogames.

Fascinating little article. And a lot of irreverent fun.

Wow, that _was_ a pretty huge spike in youth violence in the early nineties, though, wonder what was up with that??

Well,it's good to know that violent games do affect kids to a degree.
I know this cus I have kids who love to play Video games. To proof my point,I decided to take some games away from them and the reactions shows the effects before my eyes. And the games I took from my kids are not even violent, the first time I did this to them(cus,I will not allow them to play violent games),at times I let
them play HL2,Quake...,then take the games away again and watch their reactions...it's amazing.

I reacted strongly when my parents took away my guitar, when I was 14, so I don't see your point.
Take anything they like away, and you will get a reaction.

Speaking as one of those kids who grew up in the 80s, I blame the fashion industry.

Edit: Hooray for grammar.

Wasn't the 80's Miami Vice, Hardcastle and Mc Cormack, The warriors and stuff like that! No wonder it was violent! The rise of the gang culture started there (there were always gangs it's just that they didn't have crack to disolve their brains until the 80s)
