Looking for UV editing tutorials...

Sorry if I missed something out there already posted on this.
We have a team member getting into modeling and he's looking for some basic, "from scratch" tutorials or books. Does anyone know of anything that starts with the basics for explanations and descriptions of terms, etc. Doesn't need to be anything really program specific, just generic UV info. Thanks...
