Probably a Noob problem, but...

by Jon Ames · in Technical Issues · 06/22/2005 (11:58 am) · 7 replies

Trying to compile the SDK, I keep getting this error command not found (VC6 Command Line) or nothing to do for "filename" (MinGW). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

More information please? Can you post the error message?

If you're a license owner, you can access the Setting Up the Torque Game Engine section of the online documentation.

If you still have problems after that, you should ask in the Torque SDK Private Forums.

On his profile it doesn't have a torque license! So he won't be able to access the sites. And shouldn't have torque on his pc.

He's not.

@Jon: While it's possible that your profile is in error, I find it more likely that the thing "you're doing wrong" is making an illegal copy of the source code the GG guys have worked long and hard to provide us.

EDIT: Jason pointed out that people with the Torque2D kit don't get a "note" yet, so it's entirely possible that I went off half cocked. If so, I offer a Hearty Appology to any and all I've offended. If not, they can still get bent. =P

Hey Mark, be nice.

My profile says "none" but i purchased the Torque 2D SDK.. maybe he is talking about T2D not TGE, or maybe the GarageGames people have been lazy and just havent been updating the notes of people reciently.

And if he is a pirate, you can still say "Kindly bug off" right?

Okay the exact error when I use make file it tells me invalid command after telling me all my setting are valid. Now MinGw doesn't build anything it just runs. All the commands I need are running, just not working. As for the profile for some reason I can't access anything yet, maybe a server error.

Jon, you didn't buy it with that login, otherwise it would show up.
