Blender + .DIFs

I have recently been asked by a couple of people if i would start working on the blender map exporter i had started a while back. I was wondering how many people would actually use it. I had originally posted this in a linux forum but realise that it may not be seen by the right people so i am asking again here. You can answer on my blog at www.draekko.org/draekko/index.php?entry=entry050414-132007. I already have had a couple of people offer to help with documentation and code but what i would like to know is who would want to use it since GG will be coming out with what looks like a nice map editor?

I use blender exclusively and feel weird when I think about the fact that it didn't cost me a cent.
Some of my profits will be redirected as donations to the blender community.
A .dif exporter would indeed be sweeeeeet.
