Well, I've had T2D for a little over an hour now. I haven't even really done much with it yet, but I am quite impressed. I played around with the Tile Map Editor for a while and I am very impressed.

Let me just say that I've used a fair-share of tile map editors in my day. I've tried Mappy, the GameMaker editor, Scrolling Game Dev Kit, tUME (of the 16-bit console days), and I've even made my own tile map editor for DOS back in the day.

The tile map editor for T2D, by far, is a quality piece of work. Simply amazing. I love how smooth it "feels". It's kind of hard to explain, but it just feels right. It reminds me of tUME, which I was a huge fan of (I even had tUME maps running on the GBA.. heh).

Simply amazing. Now, I can't wait to check out the other parts of Torque2D.. if they're along the same lines as the tile map editor, I will be even more impressed.

Great job Melv, Josh, and everyone involved!

No kidding. I finally bought T2D about 2 weeks after release, and when I finally got access to the private forums and saw the post count, I about fell out of my chair. :-p
