Spreading the word of T2D...

Here's a funny image that my friend Craig Ball just sent me. I think it portrays the kind of friction you can get from other 2D engine forums for no good reason sometimes, very well. :)

And I'm sure I'm not unique ;)

If they're not bright enough to see the merits of T2D, I REALLY don't want them in the T2D community. Can you imagine? And I'm sure I'm not unique ;)

@Melv... not sure if you already get some sort of deal in this but when I release a T2D game (right now set for 3 months down the road) you deserve at least some of the royalties ! (at least if GG doesn't already have that worke dout with you)

True... I completely agree with you Bryan... then again we wan't to support Melv off of T2D soley so he can become our indentured servant lol ;) So if we get them to try and they give up then they're the only one that loses but at least Melv gets some much deserved support... even as amazingly caring a guy he is we all still need and want money out of this, at least enough to live off of... I'd be amazingly awesome to have Melv 100% on T2D, to support himself off of that !@Melv... not sure if you already get some sort of deal in this but when I release a T2D game (right now set for 3 months down the road) you deserve at least some of the royalties ! My personal opinion is that right now, all we can do is to hype T2D. Finish some AA+ quality games, release them, and then you can really show off it's power! Of course, this is easy for me to say, since I'm not developing any T2D games, just trying to help out in the forums!

The idea of working T2D fulltime just makes me so excited. You never know what might happen. If everyone sold 50 copies then...

@Matthew: Nope, you get to keep all your profits, royality-free, as it should be. Wouldn't feel correct if I were to share a piece. You already gave me your support by purchasing it. Anything else you do here on the forums is a bonus. :)The idea of working T2D fulltime just makes me so excited. You never know what might happen. If everyone sold 50 copies then...

"I'll get you and your rigid-body dynamics, too!"
It's funny, because I hang out on the Allegro forums too. I've been a big time user and advocate of Allegro for a long while, but I haven't gotten any flack for talking about T2D on their forums. Heck, they've been pretty cool about it. In fact, I think a few members are curious and might even buy a copy if I keep this up. So remember that, Melv, when you're sitting on your throne made of gold with the inscribed GG logos, and I am living in this here cardboard box! ;)
As for the showing off -- I think that's the best way to go. You can talk about sweeping polygonal rigid particle dynamics until your blue in the face, but as they say in the writing business: Show, don't tell.
So let's get to showing!
