I was looking at Mark's AI resource (Artificial Intelligence Beginning) and it's a start on what I need but how do you get AI to build units and buildings? Has anyone did a resource for this or know a good way to implement it? Cause as we know, no good RTS game is without skirmishing the AI or even campaigns against the AI.

Thanks for any help in the right direction guys.

People would probably tell you this is project dependent, though i'd guess that 80% of RTS.SK owners are still tinkering with it to make a project. It could be dependent on whether your making prehistoric humans(age of empires), modern humans(civilization), future humans(terrans), or another race entirely (Orcs,etc).
Let me read your mind though *puts my fingers to your forehead*

[] You want them to start with a few 'peons',
[] Look for + gather necessary resources,
[] Build things (homes, storage, barracks, fortification),

As your civilizations get bigger, the chance of encouter gets greater
and when you meet you can either be allies and trade, or just fight.

Just some ideas
