Looking for a good scripting environment

Hello All,

I am using the Ultra Edit script editing enviorment right now for torque. I'm using it because thats what Ken finney uses in the book 3DGPAI1. but the demo is almost expired and I don't particulary care for UE that much So are there any other scripting options out there that are good and well free? Also I work with 3D Gamestudio thier script editor does a few idiot proof things like automatically put in a closing bracket when you type in the opening bracket and does the same when you type in a parenthesis. Anything out there like this for torque?

JEdit is a very nice editor.

I use Tribal IDE, though I think it's like not available anymore...it's ok i guess. It's free too =D

I use Microsoft Visual C++ setup to read .cs files... but if I didn't have that, I would probably use JEdit.

I use Tribal IDE, nice and easy to use... I could upload it to my server for you to download it you wanted.

I'm actually quite happy with both BrainEdit Pro and Crimson Editor. In the past I had used Crimson, but the demos of BrainEd were looking better and better. That was several months ago and at the present time it looks like all the quirks and features have fleshed out in BrainEd and i'll be purchasing a copy soon.

This of course is only an option if you aren't adverse to spending a few dollars. IMHO though its much better than ANY freeware tool out there. It is so smooth and easy to work with.
