Have you got an animated pair of hands?

We have built a freeware literacy program that will help folks in developing countries learn to read their own text language (5000+). Our target minimum platform is a Pentium 1 OS 2000 or XP with 16MBvideo.
We have built an add on function to our reader that will help deaf people learn to read by showing them the hand sign they recognize word by word as they learn to read their host country text. But our C++ Viskit solution does not have skinning or collision. And the hand sign editor program, used by volunteers to build the hand signs, is not very easy to use. We currently use sliders to position hands and fingers in 3D space.
Can we retool using the Torque Game Engine SDK and not overshoot our platform target.
It would be nice to get the skinning on the hands and replace the sliders on the editor program with pinch and pull to arrange the fingers/hands into keyframe position.
Anyone got some code or talent that will get us going in the right direction with TGE?
Yeah, everyone asks this question. "Is there more than one sign language in the world?" Response Yes, Babel extends to the deaf as well.
Your help will service the 18 million who are deaf and can't read and will help their families learn how to "talk" to their kid.
Thanks!

I don't know how well jointed the hands are in that model but they look to be. Probably that is your cheapest and easiest solution.
