.map / .dif

Ok...it's been a while since I created a level. Now, I've made a simple .map file using Quiver but I've forgotten what they were meant for, I mean, what should I use .map files to? Can I convert them into .dif files somehow?

He means that he needs something that will convert map to dif on a MAC.That is why he is using Quiver.

Um, I've created a small .map file using Quiver, but I can't see how I should do to convert it into a .dif file. And yes, by using mac.

As you can see, the core of the problem is map2dif in general - which is very antiquated. I can't promise any miracle solutions at the moment, unfortunately - but revised versions of map2dif are in the works.

Well, the problem is in 2 parts - 1, there is currently no mac version of map2dif that I am aware of... I am not sure how hard a recompile would be. 2, the current version of map2dif only supports Valve220 format... I don't know if that is the type of .map that Quiver creates or not.As you can see, the core of the problem is map2dif in general - which is very antiquated. It would be interesting to see if the current map2dif version will compile you .map LillBenny.
Good Luck!
BTW, can you add texture to maps made with Quiver?
solo.

A temporary solution would be to send your "map" to a friend who can convert it to a "dif" on his or her PC. It would be interesting to see if the current map2dif version will compile you .map LillBenny.

No textures addable, it's a Quake editor. Well, someone who could accept my little .map file then...?

Is someone willing to accept my .map files...?

Use the map2dif tool found on the archive page.
NOTE: The tool only works on Windows.
