EULA in installer program needs updating

Edit (Josh Williams, GG): Woops! We made a mistake.

Sorry about the confusion here, somehow an OOOOLD EULA got into the installer. Our apologies, the EULA on the website is the official, current EULA.

So, no controversy, just a simple mistake. We have updated CVS to include the correct EULA, and will get a new installer with the correct EULA text as soon as possible.

Thanks for pointing this out, sorry again for the confusion. I edited the title of this thread and inserted this text at the top to make it clear what's going on.

I think that's the old EULA that was included with the installer by mistake... not sure.

That looks a lot like the old original TGE EULA. Probably just a mistake.

Yeah, this sounds a lot like a very old EULA...

Woops! This was just a mistake, our apologies. Yeah, oooold EULA. The one on the site is the correct, and is the one we use.

I'll change it in CVS right now, and we'll get a new installer up as soon as we can. Thanks for pointing this out.

Note: I edited the first post to insert some explanatory text at the top, and changed the title of the thread to more accurately reflect the situation.

IANAL. Really, really, not a layer. Don't know jack. But:

When I download from CVS, I don't accept an EULA. Why do you ask me to accept one to install this way?

Sorry, that sounded really accusatory, I meant it to just be a simple question.

You accept the EULA when you buy TGE/TSE/whatever. Therefore by the time you download from CVS, you've already accepted the EULA.

That's what I mean - I've accepted the EULA by the time I download the installer, too...

CVS had user authentication... you had to login with your website account in order to download. The installer does not. Thus, we need to confirm that the person installing has accepted the EULA.
