mapping question - caves?

can you put caves and tunnels in a torque map? im guessing yes, so my next question is how extensively? my guess is they wont cause problems as long as portals are used, right? so can i add a lot of underground stuff without worrying over performance or framerate?
thanks
thanks

You'll have to make "cave buildings" in worldcraft, place them in your map, and cut holes in the terrain so the players can pass though.
I imagine you could make a rock outcropping with a tunnel leading inside... or whatever.
