Seeing as he also has an auction selling info on how to not pay eBay for using their service, I thought maybe the 9-item dutch auction approach was some kind of exploit for getting out of paying eBay their fees...

Several of this person's other auctions are dutch with quantity of nine, but then he explicitly says in the description he only has one.Seeing as he also has an auction selling info on how to not pay eBay for using their service, I thought maybe the 9-item dutch auction approach was some kind of exploit for getting out of paying eBay their fees...

You guys at GG should like sneak over to his house at night and cut off his horse's head and then put it in his bed a la Godfather style.

Also note that the guy's AIM and email info is still on the member info page so have fun fellow Torque gurus ;)

Yeah I see why GarageGames doesn't want to waste time and money trying to fry the bastard because it would just be a waste of time and money really. I wonder how much GarageGames would earn if they were to say ebay auction off the guy's home address and phone number... :)Also note that the guy's AIM and email info is still on the member info page so have fun fellow Torque gurus ;)

That's his website address. I can't believe this guy. Who would have thought software piracy would truly hit us (well GG mainly) in the indie industry? I never thought anyone would be that stupid to try this, yet the world always does seem to not disappoint me on stupid people.
Well his site sucks. Looks like he's trying to become the next ebay. Using PHP Auction it seems, yet he has ripped out the copyright notices and all and replaced them with his. I know PHP Auction is free, but still have the GPL.
Just throwing my two cents into the matter. Seeing this really pisses me off.
Edit: Typo

Hitting back with abuse is not the answer. It just makes you look as bad as he is.

I dropped him an email and he promised to "request permission from garagegames". Since Im certain this won't be granted, for obvious reasons, Im curious to see if hes done anything, or if further steps, such as a good beating, should be taken.

Jeff, I totally agree. Refusing to battle against the mentally unarmed shows you are the stronger one. His time is coming, like if eBay throws him in a cell with Tyrone for fraud. Just hope the scum doesn't drop the soap while in prison (for his sake)!

Funny part will be when buyers see that they all get the same login and pwd on GG sites LOL ..... Can't imagine the row this will generate when the 1st one change the password of the account LOL
"
Actually, I think it'll be funny when they try to update their profile - and find it different every time they log in....
This guy is a shyster and needs to be smashed. I don't believe that he didn't read the EULA - only a fool buys a licensed product without knowing what restrictions he's under. First thing I read before I bought Torque was the EULA - what if there's abusive language, etc? How else can you tell?
What a cockroach.
