Orbz Arcade Testing

by Justin Mette · in General Game Discussion · 04/28/2004 (8:08 am) · 7 replies

Orbz goes to the Arcade! 21-6 recently signed a deal with TLC Industries to put Orbz into the arcades (see www.21-6.com for more details). As part of this deal we created a new, more addictive, mode of play for the game and we need help testing it. If you are interested in testing Orbz Arcade over the next two weeks, please send an email to orbzarcade@21-6.com.

Note: We only have a Windows build of Orbz Arcade at this time because that is the technology used in the arcade machines. If you are a Mac/Linux player or you don't have a chance to participate in testing Orbz Arcade, don't worry because we will be including this new mode of play in Orbz 3 (for Win/Mac/Linux)!

I'm just finishing up the intergration of the FlexArcade system which provides operators with configuration settings, credits tracking, and stats tracking.

The first test-run of Orbz in arcades should start near the end of June and run for 3 weeks. If the game earns well enough, full production will start. Otherwise, we will make the required changes and try the test-run again.
