The quality of gfx in Torquw

Hi All
I am still getting used to Torque and playing with tutorials, reading posts and planning my games to come.
I know that my question may sound arrogant or plain stupid, but I just have to know, so please don't flame me.
When I look at the snapshot gallery I am always rather unimpressed by the quality of the gfx (leave out the screenshots of TSE) especially when it comes to buildings and textures...
Is there any limitation within the Torque engine that brings a limit to LOD, number of polygones, texture quality etc. that makes it unable to compete with todays games? ( I am not talking about shaders og ligthing effects here )
Or is everything dependent of the artists?
Can anyone please clarify this to me?
kind regards
- Rasmus

I agree with Stefan. I'd already found Torque impressive enough to purchase a license without seeing many of those shots. Seeing them now only makes me all the happier I did!
Some of those shots should be placed a bit more prominently around the site. Man...
Thanks for posting those links, Stefan!
