torqueide.sourceforge.net is a plugin IDE for JEdit and therefore cross-platform...
or go to our download section on tork.beffy.de and grab TribalIDE...

I think there are at least three "Torque" IDEs out there
- the JEdit plugin
- TribalIDE
- and an "in-game" IDE (don't remember the name, sorry)

Is there a recommendation on which to use?
Or is this just a question of personal taste?

I seriously recomment the Jedit IDE. It is a general programmer's editor, and has MANY programming specific plug-ins and customizations available. I have switched to it from TribalIDE, and I love it.
