There are cheats, if you go into the console (~ key) and type in
$testCheats = 1;
You can then access any level, switch to camera mode and fly around levels (alt-c), and open the mission editor for creating levels (F11)

1) Open ANY level
2) Press the "~" key.
3) Type "$testCheats=1;"
4) Press ENTER.
5) Press again "~" to close the text window.
Now you'll be able to:
1) Access any level (load it normaly)
2) Switch to camera view with alt+c and move anywhere you want using the standard (playing) keys.
3) Open the level editor with F11, with this you'll be able to modify or create new levels. Be careful not to modify an existing level by mistake. You can do that safely after saving it with another name with Save As from the first menu.

Hmm there comes no text window...
Can this happen because i have not got an English keyboard? ( I've got a German one) or must i have got MarbleBlast Gold to use the cheats?

It is possible that it is because of a non-english keyboard. Both MarbleBlast and MB Gold support the console. Another way to enable cheat mode is to run the game from the command line with the -testcheats flag.
MarbleBlast.exe -testcheats

When you finish your level send it to our moderator, so he can post it in the custom level archive.

His e-mail is alexs@garagegames.com

Send it to me(solo) also.
solohans1@excite.com

I'm going to offer you a 'standing offer' for membership to our company and project. Don't decline or I'll have to reoffer the membership. If you do decide to accept you'll find the link on your garagegames homepage near the bottom. Remember, this is for fun only. You can contribute as much or as little of your time and talent as you wish. I recommend joining if you want to learn more about MarbleBlast and level building for the game. Also, the members are fun and friendly.

Have a good day!

Has anyone actually made a tutorial or set of instructions on how to use the editor? I'd like to fiddle around with level editing a bit, but when clicking the new menuitem it says something about a missiontemplate file missing.

Drake,

MarbleBlast maker's forgot to add a template, so you have to make your own from an existing level.

I recommend opening one of the simple beginner level, deleting all the entities except start and finish.
SaveAs template.mis or [whatEverNameYourWant].mis.

Close marbleBlast. Navigate to data/missions/beginnerfolder. You will find your template.mis file in the beginner folder. Move it to missions/custom folder.

Open MarbleBlast up again. Choose custom tab. Your new level, ready to be edited should be there.

You can repeat the process, from that level if you want to leave template.mis a "template."

Good Luck!

Yeah I managed to copy a simple level and remove the stuff from it and save it. No problem there.

What has me confused was how to create platforms for a start, or even how to just place the things you select on the level. I accidentally deleted the startpad and couldn't even figure out how to insert a new one.

Remember to get my template for the MarbleBlast level archive. It's got plenty of stuff in it.

Drake,

You have to move to the WorldCreatorEditor in the Window Menu(F4). On the right, you will see a pane that's split into 2 sections.

At the top you will see a category called: 1674: MissionGroup-SimGroup(the number may be different) with a plus symbol in a square next to it. You can click on this 'plus' and expand the directory to show you all the 'entities' that are in your level so far.

Start and End Pads are pretty much default for every level, but like you said, if you accidently delete one, what do you do?

Simple, create a new one in World Creator Editor.

End of First Tutorial
