Unable to launch FPS Tutorial

I've installed Torque 3D, DXSDK_Jun10, directx_Jun2010_redist, PhysX_2.8.4.6_for_PC_Core and extracted the FTP Tutorial to My Projects. From this project I tried to run game/FPS Tutorial.exe and the .exe does show in Process Explorer but then ends after 2-3 seconds. I was able to run the FPS Tutorial program on my laptop after following the same install process. I've reinstalled all of the components and not sure what to try next.
Is there a log file or somewhere I can see why this is failing to launch? Any advice?

And there is a log file - it's called "console.log" and is found in the same folder as the executable.

Okay - glad it worked - but what OS is running on your laptop, and what OS is running on your desktop?And there is a log file - it's called "console.log" and is found in the same folder as the executable.
