SetSkinName bug

I run a dedicated server, player gets a vehicle with a skin color. Player logs out of game and back in. The color of the vehicle switches to default color on that client. How do I set or reset the skin color for that client?
If I delete the object and remake it all is well till the client logs out and back in.
