Changing Rotation of node added in T3D shape editor

I have a character model I've imported into T3D (3.5.1+AFX) and have all the character animations working. I've added nodes for the eye, cam, mount0 and mount1. I parented mount0 and mount1 to the right and left hand nodes of the 'biped'. Problem is, I can't seem to change the rotation of the added nodes if it's parented to something else. Have tried changing the rotation in the script file but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any suggestions?
