Question about SpriteWorks 2

Is anyone using this program? I noticed the company that developed it is no longer around it seems. There are a few issues that I have with it and would like to know if there is anything that can be done.

The other problem is that there isn't a lot of options for the camera. A good example is that there is no way to use orthographic view. It just sucks because I can't make terrain tiles correctly using SpriteWorks.

I did run into a problem with textures not loading but after I figured out that SpriteWorks 2 was built in Torque then I understood how to get the models to load correctly. My problem is with transparently. They don't work. If you open a tree model the leaves are not transparent even though the texture is transparent. The other problem is that there isn't a lot of options for the camera. I have used world creator previously to create isometric terrain tiles, it works fairly well. The website is as follows.

I believe the earlier version is free. There is WC 3.0 as well, which I have only just become aware of. This is a fairly could isometric tile creator and is used for commercial games.
I have no idea why the transparency doesn't show in the trees as I made no attempt to capture a tree image.

I only used Spriteworks to create spritesheets for animated models. If you are making an isometric game even placing the texture on a cube top and then angling the camera in Spriteworks won't work.I have used world creator previously to create isometric terrain tiles, it works fairly well. One of the other issues I noticed when I was using it is that the models are not always textured, in this case you simply have to close and reopen Spriteworks 2 again. Oh and another issue is that when one does a spritesheet if it is not suitable and one tries to redo it Spriteworks will not do the job. If I remember correctly you have to get the dae or dts back to the initial state for it to work again, It's been some considerable time so I only have a vague memory of these problems, but if I recall correctly, in this latter case you need to go into the folder where the original model is and remove everything else that is produced when spriteworks runs and is produced as a result of running the animations in spriteworks. Sorry that's a bit vague but it has been some time since I used it and I currently don't have it on my machine. I think when the collada is run it produces dts files and these have to be deleted before you can run it again in spriteworks. Don't take my word for it and make sure you back it all up before changing anything.
I think they are the three main problems I encountered with spriteworks other than the fact it is now so out of date that windows 7 and 8 cause difficulties in using it anyway.
