3D Game Programming All in One : Second Edition (Problem)

Hi guys,
I know this book I'm talking about is veeerryyyy old,
but I just found this book which I got as a present when I was younger, and I want to get into programming
Right now I'm stuck.
I want to run the Torque scripts but I can't find the demo.exe which should be in the 3D2E/ directory.
There was a mention about this file in the book though, it said that I had to turn on the show
hidden files option in the computer settings.
I did that, but I still can't find the demo.exe file !
If someone knows what I must to do please tell me, I would be very glad of your help !
I'm running windows 7 btw.

According to amazon reviews the second edition was the worst because the book's content didn't match whats on the CD that came with the book.
