Mixamo FUSE characters

Looking for any tips or tricks - I purchased Fuse some time ago and am revisiting this for character creation. Problem is, I'm really in the "Garage" when it comes to budget and my current art pipeline is Milkshape 3D via Fragmotion - Download Mixamo character as FBX, open with Fragmotion, convert to Milkshape 3D then produce a .DTS with embedded animations.
This seems to work with characters on their website but am having problems with FUSE created characters - the animated characters via the above pipeline are totally distorted when animated.
Am also curious about their animations - a walk/run animation actually physically moves the character rather than simply animating a walk/run in place.
If anyone is using this with Blender can you recommend which version of Blender and which version of a DTS exporter will work as well as where to find the DTS exporter script.
If anyone is using 3ds Max - likewise - version and DTS exporter where to find and what versions. (Might have to find someway to buy this).
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated
Thanks in advance !

No real problems just trying to determine how to integrate Mixamo characters into T3D and which toolset works
Mixamo does provide Blender specific DAE files (not sure how they are specific but I believe they also support the Blender pipeline).

Im not sure that I understand your problem so clearly but , as far as blender and dts export I can only suggest
blender 2.49b
download.blender.org/release/Blender2.49b/
dts exporter 0.97 beta 3
this is a link to a link in a blocklands forum . use the mirror link for the 097 exporter . it downloads automatically to your downloads .
i checked the link and it downloaded but , i didnt check inside the zip , just deleted it , sooo .

you may need a python 26 (hmmm unless thats for the gimp 2.6) anyway ,
www.python.org/downloads/
good luck , and I hope that you have a "technique" for getting them into blender .
Blender 2.49b installed to its default location in
Program Files
Blender to DTS Exporter 0.97 placed in the
Blender\Scripts folder
Pyhton 2.6 installed to its default location at C\
