So, i want to try out torque 3d for a commercial tps i want to make. People keep on saying torque is very hard for beginners. I have been playing with game engines for almost 1 and half years now, 3drad, unity, yoyo game maker and others. But License problems. Please, how is torque 3d? and does it support bsp, because i haven't seen any torque 3d bsp tutorial. Thank you. If torque 3d support bsp, then it will definitely be my choice.

Torque is definitely tricky for beginners, but once you know how to work it, you can accomplish a lot. What license problems do you have in particular? Does something like Unreal not work for you? Though I guess you can't beat MIT ;).

Yeah, the BSP format for Torque was removed a couple of updates ago in favour of pushing everything through the Collada pipeline.Torque is definitely tricky for beginners, but once you know how to work it, you can accomplish a lot. ok, thanks guys. MIT is the best so Far. 3drad doesn't have a depth of field shader self. so I am still going for torque3d. Thanks for your replies.

Blender has a bsp-importer, if you have anything left you want to convert, but I would not advise to use it, since it is outdated, this is why Torques equivalent of it got removed. Better build your levels with blender or other modeling programs.
