Maya2012 character -> Torque3D how to?

Alright -
So i just whip out a rigged character in Maya2012,
export it in COLLADA DAE format.
follow this guide:

and BLAMO! an impressive Nothing! LOL.

I notice that all bones connect to ROOT.
the MESH does not load.

so...
what/where is the correct guide to follow?
