Designing a Multiplayer Game

I have a project that I'm conceptualizing. I do not quite fully understand the code that I'm working with nor do I have any concept of how multiplayer will work. I do however know what I want the script to do.
The project will be simple. There will only be a few types of game objects and the gameplay will be easily explainable.

It will be a pvp only game, no monsters. Players craft weapons and the damage they do is reflected of their level and weapon. The players will visit crafting stations and resource nodes and will be stealing loot off of each others dead bodies. There is no armor or skills and only one way to attack.
