Hello everyone ,
Blender 2.49b
0.67 exporter
TGEv1.1.2 demo
would someone explain how to use the additive / subtractive settings in the DTS exporter .
Im at a level where I do not understand the reason for the transparency being automatically checked when I select additive or subtractive , so .
Or , perhaps you can point me to some resources on the matter .
Thank you kindly and have a great day .

It seemed to me that nothing was happening besides the transparency changing ! thus , I deemed it strangeness .
I am applying it to just one of many polys in the mesh . actually , the brake light area , because i was expecting some "GLOWY" effect as I had read in the max IFL tutorial on TDN , this gave me some glorious expectations of this "light" sort of shining and relecting off of other surfaces like the particle things do . Well , not so far . Thank You Mr. Acaster and Ill be trying more experiments as I am able to concoct them .

Additive is generally lighter (glowy), Subtractive darker and having neither would be standard transparency.
If in doubt experiment. Export 3 objects with different settings amd see how it looks in game.
