by Lordrockit · in Torque 3D Beginner · 08/22/2014 (1:45 pm) · 15 replies

hello all once again,
i am lordrockit as you can see.
i presently added a page to my tumblr about requesting royalty free game assets.
right now there is only 3d assets but i will be making a page for 2d assets.

a little bit about the page:
-it looks bad(i dont know css at all)
-all assets are royalty free and licensed under the cc0 licence
-you can request models and animations

pros:
-free high quality 3d models intended for use in games
-animations
-royalty free
-requests

cons:
-some rules and restrictions for requests
-no scripts by game assets i mean 3d models(maybe another page for scripts and code projects coming soon?)

the link is:
lordrockit's tumblr

tell your friends and please make a request for me to do(im very board, so please help me)

What you could do, think of some models you think people might use. Maybe something like a cool looking gun, a tree, anything game related really. Start putting a few pics of that on your website. That will give you valuable experience and take up plenty of time. Boredom solved :)

Good advice! It'll also give people a sample of your work to entice them to request things...

I don't want to stop your enthusiasm, but you should not spam every category of the forum with your posts.
There are other place dedicated for free 3D-models, this platforms may fit more:
www.blendswap.com/ and opengameart.org/

yes Duion i agree that blendswap is better and same with open game art, just i found them a bit lacking.
like with blendswap for example if you make a request first off there is a chance you'll get your model made, then there's a low chance they'll licence it under the cc-0 licence. plus i just find their web page lacking.
my web cite isn't focused on the community to upload files, it's focused on the community requesting stuff for me to make

Don't mind Duion, @Lordrockit, he can be a lil bit grumpy sometimes.

Just keep on amazing us with you cool artwork! But try to stick to one forum at the time, we will see what you're doing, don't worry :)

And btw, I think you're doing great for a 12year old!

thanks nils.

i will have more models posted hopefully soon.

i havent gotten any requests yet, but i hope i will soon.
i think the space ship that i rendered looks really cool.
the reason i dont have models on there is because im trying to switch to 3ds max(free student licence). i found an advanced rig thats easy to setup for bipeds so im going to start making characters soon.
