TrenchBroom

I forgot when I first heard of this program, but it kept on crashing on the computer that I was using to develop games on (an XP system).

I just recently bought an system running the 8.1 os, and it runs well under the the Win 7 compatability mode.

It is one of the few software programs today that saves file in the Quake .map and therefore supports TGE 1.4. The only program that I have found that works well is Quark.

Other programs that I have tried are Dark Radiant, Deled (works ok for T3d)still waiting for their Torque exporter.

So my question boils down to: has anyone used Trenchbroom, and how does it work in comparison to those programs.

DeleD messed up the UV maps on export, so I could not use it. Only program I found that may import .map is Ultimate Unwrap www.unwrap3d.com/u3d/formats.aspx, but have not tested it, since you would have to buy the software for it.
I could not find any program so far that does import the .map well, so Quark did work for you? What version did you use?

Yes, I have Ultimate Unwrap. It is a wonderful program, don't know what I would do without it.
As for Quark, I believe I have the 6.6 version.
However, it is not being updated any further, and a slight problem I had with the software is that textures are missing from the arc routines, which causes the .dif to not load properly into the engine, thereby causing the engine to crash.
