Blotches on my terrain painter textures

Hey, I can't figure this one out. On my previous install of T3D 3.5 I had no problems with the terrain textures. Now with the same computer specs but a new "install" I get very ugly blotchy textures. Doesn't seem to be all of them perhaps.
Any ideas?
Edit: Looking around, it might be a shader issue? If so i did try .bat file to clean shaders but don't know where to go from there.
Thanks.

Check the detail texture render distance....

There is no issue here, just some bad choices in texture distances or so.

Since I'm thinking about my previous abandoned level, the reason I abandoned it was because the material editor totally broke on me. At first it was only the browsing thumbnails not showing up, then any attempt to open the Material Editor would result in a crash with .dll error. Has this ever occurred to anyone? I'm just a bit afraid that the same will happen again if I begin adding some of the same structures.
Thanks again.

Yep, it was the diffuse size. Thanks. I swear I tried that first...Since I'm thinking about my previous abandoned level, the reason I abandoned it was because the material editor totally broke on me.
