FMOD Studio now Free for under 100K budgets

I wasn't sure if i should do a Blog post or not but I thought people would wanna see this and would be interested that if you have under a 100k budget for your game FMOD studio is now free which is helpful for us indies :)

Awesome, looks like i'll be using Fmod now for mac linux and pc on my copy of T3D :D

After that, the prices are relatively steep and licenses must be obtained per-platform. Still a good deal in my book.

Just sent them an email regarding if this applies to the legacy versions of FMOD, after all torque3D's fmod is a legacy version.

Doesn't T3D use Fmod Ex? Which isn't the free version. Anyhow, you only need the 2 dlls to run Fmod via Torque, so someone open up Fmod Studio and check that they're in there, and we might all be okay. ;)

yep that's why i sent an email hoping everything is under the new terms, however the ex license says that you can use it as long as it is a non-commercial product. :P

Got a reply, it has to be just the Fmod Studio that they just announced about. Ex is not under the same license.
