New Game: Are You Quick Enough? 3

by Johnny Vo · in iTorque 2D · 03/03/2014 (10:08 pm) · 7 replies

Here is my latest game made with iTorque (not the newer Torque2D).

Here are some technical specs for the game:

Development Time: 8 months full time.
Engine version: A modified iTorque 1.2/1.3.
Lines of code: 29k
SDK used: Game Center, Playhaven, Chartboost, Tapjoy.
Device support: iPhone 4, 5 (widescreen), and iPad
Tech used: iTorque particle engine, multi touch controls, tilt controls.

I'm happy to announce Are You Quick Enough? 3 has been released. This is the third game using iTorque in over 3 years. I've been through some happy and sad times with this engine, the community, and Michael Perry :).

Here's the itunes link

Sadly, I think this is my last game with iTorque, I will be moving to Unity for all future games and can't wait to see what that engine has to offer.

Would love to get feedback on the game and talk about the engine, game design or anything related.

For fun I even made a Floppy Bird clone as an easter egg.

I never had a problem with the sound. Maybe because I'm using the older engine?

Hey Johnny, congrats on the release :)

I still check in from time to time although I've move over to MOAI game engine completely now.

Good luck with the downloads!

Cheers

Hey Scott! Good to hear from you.

How come you decided to use MOAI instead of Unity? And do you have any games coming out soon?

Johnny, went with MOAI because it's free and open source. There's quite a strong community and it reminded me a lot of Torque.

We have a ton of games now on iOS, Android and Kindle.

Got about four in the pipeline :)
