Torque 3D project manager generates no visual studio files

Ok so i've downloaded the torque 3d 3.0 version 3 times now from github once & twice from GG.com via the binary. all of which when i generate a new project in the manager, it never creates visual studio solution files to edit the source code with. everything else seems to be generating just fine. any ideas? i'm drawing a blank.
