Tips for hand painted textures?

I'm struggling with hand painted textures. Have any helpful tips or want to share your procedure?

If you're talking about tiled textures, for terrain etc., then you'll certainly need to process them with a imaging application (like Ps). The trick is to make them seamless by slicing it up like in the pic I made for you:

Roughly said: You copy 2 parts and paste those on the opposite edge. Use guides to know what you copy. Erase/blend enough to make it not visible you have moved a piece of your canvas. Then crop your canvas along the guides and save it as an image (PNG will do for beginners)

I used ink on paper for my blood splat decals.
