This is request for information to be used with :
TGE 1.1.2
Blender 2.49b
hello again ladies and gentlemen ,
I cant seem to find a tutorial around here for node hierarchy . I did download and read over the small , yet nice , node list PDF , however ; it was difficult to read , and gave no example of how the model is arranged concerning the "nodes" and which items are used (bones , empties , etc .). I saw the referrence to Mr Marushak's "excellent tutorial" but the link did not take me to it . Since I did stumble upon how not having a collision for a vehicle will cause a crash , Information concerning those issues would certainly be good to have . Any reply will be appreciated . Thank You and have a nice day .
edit: + I just checked out blockland forums , Even I should gleen some usefulness , Still anything would be appreciated . TY

HIP HIP HOORAAAY! The trailer was excellent entertainment .
and of course thank your for your response here . Thank you and
EVERYBODY BUY AIRSHIP DRAGOON!
Mr. Acaster , I just successfully exported a vehicle , a simple one with only 1 detail level , and substituted the dts for the car/runabout in the racing demo in 3dgpai1 . I assume , at this point , that the mounts, hubs, cams and other stuff are all to be armatures parented to the detail level . I hate to risk appearing to be rude and holding you here but if you will please , just a couple words about the start node .
certainly ill have many more of these types of questions , as , the wheels are sticking way out from where the nodes are placed in the model , looks funny as heck but its bouncy wouncin right along , and I having trouble placing the obData where I think Id like for it to be , I do have the gigantic Blender Manual ,still cant find the answer . Have a very good evening Mr Acaster and thank you so much for your time Sir! 1% + TY

Start node? Isn't that for T3D DAE format?
edit: Daz made some T3D specific video tutorials on vehicles vimeo.com/album/2208734

I used the link but the video didnt play , all I got was a black screen . I recently replaced this hard drive , maybe Ill need flash or something . Ill check vimeo out again later and see what it is that I need to do . Im a frequent youtuber and they have a plethora of nice torque videos . But I could not find a video there on building and exporting a vehicle !?
I had assumed that the start node was used in TGE , yet I hadnt seen it used , well , just maybe thats why :)
Again , my gratitude , Mr. Acaster , and have a great day , Sir !
I seem to have fixed the problem with the out of place wheels by more carefully aligning the hub nodes , clearing the transforms and moving them together thus keeping them perfectly aligned .
The obData , being in the center of the collision is causing the vehicle to be half underneath the terrain . I made the box bigger to where the obData is at the bottom of the model then raised the bottom face of the box to that spot . Im thinking that theres probably a better way of doing that correctly . >I hope I make some sense , this is all subject to not making any sense due to a great lack of knowledge in how to express my thoughts and mostly guessing :) <- <-Ill leave such facts out in the future . Have a Great Day !
