Hello again Ladies and Gentlemen , hope youre all very well ,
As stated , most or all of my questions might possibly be difficultly noobish , my apologies and hopefully I havent wasted your valuable time , yet . On the other hand this has been helpful for me .
Now , I am seeking instruction on setting up the vehicle model for export , in such a way that i can simply replace the shape file in the TGE demo with a model I have made . FYI as to further establish my level of comprehension here , I tried it without any , how u say . "rigging?" such as the mount nodes or a collision , the latter of which i just found out , here , is a no no . So , to further emphasize , just so youll know :), The vehicle nodes , Im am sure that they are to be armature bones . I am wondering , just wondering so dont sweat it , would these bones be parented to an empty of the same name , ie mount0 , or is the bone itself the node , then parented , I am beginning to believe , to the start node(empty)?? and I thank you and wish you all a very lovely evening .

Mr. Roberts , please forgive my legthy absence and thank you for responding to this post . honestly i was beginning to feel that no one would bother replying in this forum so , I kind of gave up on it but just gave it a look see tonight to see if anything new was going on here . I am glad to say that things have improved with my understanding of the export process and the vehicle is working nicely -TY Blockland forums :)-. My latest "great" , I think , "achievement" is having moved the playerDts from the fps demo (referring to 3dGPAI1), with its lovely animations , into the emaga6(3dGPAI1) project and using it to manly man my first , very own working vehicle :D ! Its very nice of you to offer to help and I appreciate it , the steering animation sounds veeery eeentersting . Now I am focused on player animations , specifically , the priority thing , it is giving me trouble .
I am using the Blender 2.49b and TGE 1.1.2 Demo (the one that came with the book "3d Game Programming All-In-1" by Sir Kenneth C. Finney) 2004. the Gimp 2.6 , Quark , Audacity , Notepad++ . So , tomorrow Im trying to write my own CS and try to use the animations in the FPS demo with the human player in the emaga project (just for fun , I still have to get through this animating thing), Dont know but , thats where I am :) LOL at my original post . And I m glad to see that you are patrolling this hall > Thank You Sir . I WILL quite likely be back and sooner next time !. like in the morning ! and I cant leave without saying that certainly , anything would be greatly appreciated Sir , please , feel free to post any picture that you feel is relevant to my situation . Thank You for your time , Ill try to leave out the small talk in the future :) Have a wonderful day Sir !

Wow - that is a really old version of TGE. Now that T3D is free I might get the latest edition of 3DGPAI1 and see how well it fits the latest MIT release.

I love the TGE demo in that 2004 book . It just seems to be my cup of tea , if you will . It seems to me to be quite advanced for that time and capable of some good fun gaming for an old guy like myself , btw i only sport a ps2 besides my old desktop and just am finishing grand turismo 3 (what a beautiful game!) and im yet to find a game as much fun as Zelda a link to the past was and is -- I just love the older "good" games .
Mr Finney is some sort of genius , I think , and I too would love the new book and demo stuff but alas i cant supply the requirements for T3D. fortunately, i REALLY like this old TGE ! REALLY! :)
I hope to see something about the new book and T3d from you .
PS the animations didnt work out for the human male player DTS and right now Im back peddling to find out how to make the function "doScore" work . Have a great day Mr Ranft
